Cheers to 2011!

Happy New Year! I was hoping to update our blog right after Christmas, but as you can see, that didn't happen! We hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years! We were able to spend a lot of time with family and friends, which is what this time of year is all about! Nash definitely had a lot more fun this Christmas, he really got into opening his gifts, and didn't know what to play with first! We can't wait until he actually knows what's going on, and is excited about Santa!!!

Officer Nash
My mom babysat Nash on New Years Eve so Josh and I could go have some fun. We went out to dinner with two other couples, and then to a comedy show. Unfortunately, the comedy show wasn't too impressive but, we still had a good time. We stayed at a bar long enough to kiss at midnight and then headed home at 12:01...literally! (We're getting old after all!)

New Year's Day
Nash turned 18 months old two weeks before Christmas and I never got around to letting everyone know what he has been up to lately, so here goes.....

Weight- approx 23lb 13oz
Height- approx 31 inches
Words he's saying consistently- hot, mama, dada, dog, no, don't, more, ball, car, hi, bye bye, love you, thank you, knock-knock
Body parts he can point to and name- head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, tummy, belly button, feet, hands, butt, and his "parts"
Sign Language- all done, more, please, and drink (however, he is really only using "all done" and "please" these days)
He loves- TRUCKS, cars, sorting and organizing anything and everything, books, "talking" on his phone, going down his slide, climbing, opening and closing things, did I mention cars and trucks?, scrambled eggs, trail mix, teddy grahams, and bananas
When asked what sound an animal makes, he can mimic the following- cow, sheep, monkey, pig, dog, cat, and bird

It's hard to believe that one year ago he was a little baby that couldn't even crawl yet! It's so fun to watch him learn new things each and every day!!!!

We'll be back soon, thanks for checking in!
