It's been a few weeks since my last post! Since then, we've been pretty busy and have had lots of "firsts"~
- First #1- A few weekends ago I left Nash over night for the first time to spend the weekend up in Hayward with Jen and my mom. The weather was pretty chilly and gloomy for August, but we made the best of it. We relaxed, painted our nails, went shopping, watched a movie, went out for dinner, and my mom even let us talk her into dying her hair for the first time (another first!), and it turned out great! It was a nice little getaway, but I was happy to get home to my little man, I missed him like crazy!
- First #2- While I was up north, Josh was spending his first time alone with Nash. He didn't seem too nervous to be spending two nights alone with the little guy, be he did mention felling a little overwhelmed. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful husband, and Nash has a great daddy! We love you!
- First #3- Nash got his first shots a few weeks ago... He was so smiley before she poked him, then it was all downhill from there! I cried like a baby, and he screamed his head off. He was fine once we hit the parking lot though, and Josh took me to my "happy place" to cheer me up. Most of you know where that is, but if you don't, it's Target.
- First #4- Nash had his first "friend" over. My friend Emily brought her daughter Josephine "Joey" for a visit. She was born about 2 1/2 weeks before Nash, what a doll!
- First #5- Over that past week and a half Nash has really enjoyed playing for the first time... when I say playing, I mean actually grabbing and holding onto things, smiling and "talking" while playing, and really seeming to enjoy it. He's past the "just laying there" stage. He's so fun to watch, we can already tell he likes some toys better than others.
- First #6- Saved the best for last.... the past 4 nights Nash has slept for close to or over 7 hours in a row! It gets even better, after sleeping that long I'm able to feed him and he goes back down for a few more! Allelujah!!! We're optimistic that it will continue, but we'll manage if it doesn't.
Full of bandaids...2 on one thigh, one on the other
I think that's about it for now. Enjoy the new poll question and the rest of your week/weekend!~The Christenson's
