Sorry it has taken me so long to post our family night pictures....but they were worth the wait! We all had a really fun time at our 2nd annual family night. There were 10 people and 4 huge dogs in our tiny house, but somehow we managed to make it work. Everyone arrived around 6 pm and got settled in. It was supposed to rain, so we built a quick bonfire and got some time outside before the downpour. After the fire, everyone feasted on our Mexican themed dinner. We had chicken tacos, Mexican rice, and chips and salsa...it was all soooo good! This weekend also marked Keenah's first birthday, so to celebrate she got some presents and everyone enjoyed "worms n' dirt" for dessert. After dinner we all played Catch Phrase...what a hoot! Everyone was yelling, laughing, and having a great time. The highlight from Catch Phrase was when my mom read "Connie Chung" and for some reason thought it was "Jackie Chan"...she was doing some crazy karate movements before she realized her mistake. You probably had to be there, but I know some of us almost wet our pants from laughing so hard. Before my dad and his girlfriend Sally headed home we needed to take our annual photos...which are attached. My mom and her fiance Bob, Josh's parents, and Josh's brother Jake and his girlfriend Lauren all spent the night. In the morning we all went out to breakfast at The Corral which has the best food in Durand! YUM....
Wednesday I FINALLY saw Jen...it has been so long. We went to dinner and a movie. We saw Sandra Bullock's new movie "Premonition", it was good, definitely keep us on our toes. Jen and I also made plans to get out hair done in a few weeks...I can't wait, my roots are getting really noticeable.
This weekend is devoted to wedding address labels. I have been frantically trying to collect every ones addresses and get my labels printed out. Once that is done....it's on to the next wedding task- our slide show that will be played at our wedding dinner. I have also been trying to finalize my "wedding favor" ideas....we are thinking about giving every couple a CD of songs that Josh and I like, or just go the easy route and give everyone some type of candy....not sure what the final decision is yet?!
