Getting into the holiday spirit!

Josh and I have been gradually getting our house ready for the holidays. We ended up getting our Christmas tree a few days after Thanksgiving. We fully intended on decorating it the same night we got it but we had a little mishap with the lights. After we finished putting on two strands of lights, when we plugged them in and half of them didn't work. We were completely frustrated, we plugged them in before we put them on the tree and they worked! Our tree decorating was officially put on hold. A few days later we got some new lights and I finished the decorating. Josh was willing to help, but I am so picky about where ornaments get placed, he just sat back and watched.

Last Monday, my mom came down to dog-sit for us. Josh and I were both going to be gone for almost 12 hours, so we couldn't leave our poor babies unattended for that long! She did some cleaning for us, and baked a bunch of sugar cookies....Our favorite! All we had to was frost them, we did that this weekend. As you can guess, Josh was thrilled! He ended up frosting more than I did. He does a good job of just going with the flow and doing things to make me happy....He will make a great husband!

Christmas cards will be in the mail soon, we ended up getting a pretty good shot of our "family". Hopefully everyone will enjoy it! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
