Adventures in Babysitting!

It's been quite some time since my last post....Now that the holidays and school are finally over I have a lot more free time. Christmas turned out to be a wonderful time, lot's of family and friends. Josh and I had about 7 Christmas celebrations to attend over a 3 day period. even though it got tiring, it was worth it!

The day after Christmas I was off to Baldwin to babysit my friend Jen's three little boys. Their babysitter had taken the day off, so it was auntie Erin to the rescue! We had a fun time, and I have to say, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be....However, I think the distraction of all the new Christmas toys kept them overly occupied. Preston and I played some intense games of Monopoly Junior and Super Mario Cart on the game cube...We had a blast. Peyton attacked me with his giant T-Rex and we played hide-and-go seek. When baby Parker wasn't sleeping he was either in his swing or snuggling with me! It was a good day. After Jen got home I joined them for a Papa Murphy's dinner and then I headed home, it was a long day! You will notice the picture above....The boys and I took that all by ourselves with the timer on the camera, whoever smiled the best got to hide first during our game! They did a great job...I was very impressed.

The last few days have been spent cleaning our house, putting away all of our Christmas presents, and organizing our basement. Since it has been so warm, the ground hasn't been freezing....At our house that equals a muddy mess! We cleared a large space in our basement for the dogs to dry off, they have a nice big rug, some bones and all the room they need to wrestle. So far it has proven to work quite well. The dogs also had a nice Christmas, grandma and grandpa Christenson gave them each a big bone and when they got home they had a few toys waiting from mom and dad. What can I say...They are our babies!
