Josh & Erin-
- Josh and his dad (and a little help from Bob too!) have been building a play room for Nash in the basement. Our house isn't huge, and it's being taken over by toys and dogs. They've been slaving away building walls, installing electrical outlets, putting in windows and helping me paint. This week they'll be finishing the walls (hopefully) and installing new carpet. Josh and I recently took a trip to IKEA and bought all the stuff we need to furnish the room. So...once the carpet is in, the fun stuff starts....decorating and organizing! It will be done soon, and we're super excited!
- Both Josh and I landed in the ER over these past few months. Josh because he put a drill through his pointer finger (while working on the play room) and me for something a lot more serious. I ended up having surgery for an ectopic pregnancy that blew out my fallopian tube and caused a lot of pain. I was out of commission for a week or so, but am finally back to feeling like myself. It's was pretty scary and no fun at all. Thanks to our families for helping out with Nash and household chores, and to everyone else for their nice messages and thoughts.
- Josh's got to spend a little quality time with his brother Jake who was visiting from Texas. They don't get to see each other very often, and it sounded like they had a good time. Nash got a little "uncle time" in as well. Hopefully we'll see him and Lauren again before their September wedding!!!! Congrats guys, and welcome to the family Lauren.
- I had some fun times with friends this summer! From a girls weekend in Green Bay and another in Hayward, to the Minnesota State Fair to see Carrie Underwood. I don't get away too often, but when I do, I sure enjoy myself! And of course, bi-weekly dinner dates with my best friend Jen also help me get through this crazy ride we call life. Love you!
- Hunting season is upon us which means Josh will be MIA quite a bit. Since last hunting season Josh and his friend Chad have been busy preparing their hunting land to help lure in the "big one"! I'm personally against tempting the sweet, innocent dear with delicious apples, a drinking pool and other goodies only to kill them, but hey....I'm no hunter. Josh loves it, and that's what's important to me. Good luck honey!
- There is so much to say about Nash, I don't even know where to start. He turned 15 months old yesterday...um, what!? He
walksruns all over the place, says "uh oh" 100 times a day, imitates actions, sounds and tries imitating words. He went through a spell of "night terrors" so no one was getting much sleep around here for a while. He has favorite things now: he'll search through his books to find a particular one, he LOVES trucks, tractors, motorcycles, buses, and any other loud vehicle. Everyday we walk down to the end of our street and watch traffic. He waves at all his favorites and makes a honking motion with his hand and tries to say "honk, honk". Some other highlights of Nash's summer: - His first stay in a hotel
- A trip to Como Park
- Weekend up north in Hayward
- All sorts of fun play dates
- Testing out different swimming pools

Over all, it's been a great summer. Even though it's officially not over, it's starting to feel like fall....my favorite! We're looking forward to football, apple orchards, the pumpkin patch, cozy pj's, Halloween, hooded sweatshirts, and TV show premieres. It's the best time of year!
