Duck, Decorations, and...Dead Bodies?!

Well, Christmas is less than a week away and I still have 8 million things to do! That's ok, it's all worth it! I'm looking forward to seeing family and friends over the coming days and of course celebrating Nash's first Christmas! Now for the title of this blog, I'll go in order:

Duck- I've always had my eye on this adorable rubber duck blow-up bathtub at Target, I just had to wait for Nash to be big enough. Well, the time finally came and he sure enjoyed it! He was playing on his bedroom floor while I was sitting next to him blowing it up, and all of a sudden he just started laughing, he thought it was great! He had an even better time sitting in it! Finley even got into the action!

Decorations- We've been busy getting our house ready for Christmas. I haven't gotten decorations up as early as I would've liked to, but I'm pretty busy these days with "Mr. Man" (or so we call him). We did however get our tree up and decorated in record time. I heart Christmas trees, I'm one of those people that wishes it would be ok to have one up all year long. Thankfully Nash isn't crawling yet so he hasn't gotten into any ornaments or gifts, but I'm thinking next year we'll be in TROUBLE!!! I have a feeling he's going to be a little stinker! This year he likes playing with paper while I attempt wrapping, and he loves looking at the shiny ornaments and sparkling lights.

Dead Bodies- On Saturday Josh and I spent a day in the cities. First we went to the "Bodies" exhibit at the Mall of America. It was really interesting and at the same time "information overload". For those of you that don't know...they have various bodies (yes, they're real) and body parts on display. The skin is taken off and they are left with bones and/or muscles. It allows you to see inside a real human body, look at organs, how different muscles work, cancer, developing babies, etc. Well worth the trip. For those of you interested, I think it's there until the first weekend in January. Next, we met Katie and Greg for lunch. They live nearby and we try and meet up with them when we can. It was nice catching up and spending some time with them! After lunch Josh and I did a little shopping and headed home. Since Nash spent the night with my mom you'd think we would've been able to sleep in....nope! Instead we got up and gave our house a thorough cleaning followed by a trip to Target for Christmas dinner groceries!

Other news: Nash had his 6 month checkup... he now weighs 17 pounds 3 ounces. We also started him on some yummy Cheerios and Gerber Puffs. He wasn't sure about them at first, but he's getting the hang of it now. Here are some pictures from the past few weeks!

Happy Holidays everyone, I look forward to posting again after all the presents have been opened!
