We recently decided to move Flecther (our rabbit) outside. I was, and still am somewhat sad about it. I know, I know, he's just a rabbit... as Josh would say. I just wasn't sure how he would adapt to the drastic weather changes since he's never lived outside. We probably didn't pick the best week.... it's the first real hot and humid weather we've had so far this year. Plus, his first night out there we had a HUGE thunderstorm that lasted hours and we got about 6 inches of rain! Josh did run out there in his raincoat to see if he was getting wet in his hutch, but he was doing OK. Since we moved his giant cage outside we needed to put something in it's place... the kitchen looked too empty. We went up to the cities on Friday and found a cute shelf/storage unit at IKEA. Since we were right there we decided to walk around the Mall of America and also got some lunch. On our way home we took Nash to Como Park for the first time. Of course it wasn't really for him, since he doesn't have any concept of animals and can only see a few feet away! It was fun anyways! We were gone for about 10 hours and Nash did great. He's such a good baby and is hardly ever fussy (knock on wood)! Unfortunately I can't say the same thing for our dogs (or Finley)... We had a friend stop by and let them out after they had been alone for about 7 hours. At that point they were still being well behaved. When we got home about 3 hours later we discovered that Finley had eaten part of our living room rug for a snack! It isn't ruined, but it doesn't look the greatest. They (she) are such good dogs, I guess we just left them alone for a little too long! We've learned our lesson!
Nash is really starting too look around his world and "talk" more and talk more and more. He loves sitting in his swing and watching the mobile above him! He likes looking in mirrors too.
Have a great week!
