Hello Blogging World...We're Back!

After almost 2 years and several friendly requests, our family blog is back in business!
Because so much has happened in that time....it would take me forever to update on everything! Here's a quick synopsis of our life these days:
PETS- Sadly, the last time I blogged we still had our Newfoundland Keenah. Most of you know that we had to put her to sleep in February 2008. Happily, Finley our golden retriever joined us shortly after. She's a great girl but we are looking forward to when she's just a little bit calmer! Mischa is still my princess, and despite many people's opinions, she will continue to be once the baby is born. Sure, she'll get a little less attention and won't be my "world" anymore, but a princess she'll remain. Fletcher, our rabbit is still alive and kicking. Sometimes I feel terrible for wondering how long rabbits live?! He's a stinky little monster, but I love him anyways. I've posted some updated pictures of our four legged friends on the right side of this page.

CAREERS- In August 2008 Josh took a job as a Pepin County Sheriff's Deputy. A big step up from working for the Durand Police Department. He has "great" hours for being in this business, a take home squad car all to himself, and wonderful people to work with. Up until this week, I was substitute teaching on a regular basis...mostly in Durand. I love the school, and have really gotten to know a lot of the staff and students. I keep hearing over and over that within the next three years or so the "baby-boomers" will be retiring. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a job will open up for me in the area sometime soon. Until then, subbing is a great job for me. I get to keep my "foot in the door" and do what I love at the same time!

HOUSE & VEHICLE- We are becoming more and more satisfied with our house these days. We've done a lot of projects, both big and little that continue to add character and value. Josh however is continuing his yearly battle with the local moles that overtake our yard and my garden. One of these days we'll figure out the trick and make them leave for good! I recently got a "new" vehicle... a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and I love it! I would've driven my Honda Civic into the ground because it was such a great car, but we figured it was time for something a little more updated and safe.

BABY- Tomorrow I will be considered 38 weeks pregnant! We are getting very anxious, but time seems to be standing still....especially for me! My doctor said the baby is very low and in a great position. She also said I may go a little early...I'm a little weary of predictions like that, I try not taking anything too seriously! All we are hoping for is a healthy baby, whatever sex it may be! (Enter your prediction in our "baby sex" poll on the top-right side of this page) Our nursery is all ready, everything has been purchased, now all we need is a baby! We can't wait to see what he or she looks like and get to know their little personality.

Thank you for checking in on us! I plan on updating this blog on a weekly basis, I'm sure eventually I will update on the same day every week, but until then....keep checking back! In the near future there is sure to be lots of exciting news and new pictures!
