Spring Break in Durand!

Today is officially my last day of spring break....back to the grind tomorrow! It's funny, I don't feel like I have really done much, yet the time flew by. Monday the weather was so nice, Josh and I spent almost the whole day outside. We took the dogs on two long walks and treated ourselves to an afternoon bike ride. Tuesday Josh and I met my dad for lunch in Menomonie and got groceries at Wal-Mart. Josh also got a new cell phone, which he is very excited about. When we got home we lifted weights in the basement....this explains why I couldn't walk for two days! My legs were absolutely killing me! Wednesday I went to Eau Claire to hang out with my mom and to attend a board meeting. My mom and I went to Target and out to lunch, I then joined her and some of her friends at El Patio (a local Mexican Restaurant) for margaritas. The board meeting was being held in Madison, but a few of us "Western-Wisconsinites" meet and participated by phone, it was much easier that way. It was all pretty boring, but it's helping me meet a lot of teachers/administrators and get some great recommendations. Thursday Josh and I took a road trip to Tomah for his interview with the State Patrol....yes, he's trying it again, wish him luck! Friday I spent the day being lazy, watching Sex and the City, and accomplishing absolutely nothing! Yesterday I went to Eau Claire and hung out with Jean (Josh's mom) for most of the day...we bummed around town and went out for dinner. I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful mother-in-law (to be)! This morning I met my friend Katie for a late breakfast before heading back to Durand. My mom is coming down tonight to hang out with me and take Josh and I out to eat, we might also take the dogs for a walk. Again....I'm lucky to have such wonderful "moms"...they do a lot for us and we both appreciate it!

My whole goal of Spring Break was to get caught up on homework, take care of some wedding plans, clean my house.......but none of it actually happened. I work well under pressure, I'm the queen of procrastination! Sometimes you just need a break, and that's exactly what I had....it was very nice!
