After a lot of sadness last week, things are finally starting to look-up. Our wonderful parents agreed to get Josh and I some new furniture for Christmas this year. Last Sunday my mom, Josh's mom, and I went to every furniture store in Eau Claire in search of just the right stuff! We decided on a set from HOM Furniture...It was a pretty good deal too! I thought it would take a while to get it delivered, but it ended up coming on Wednesday!
My mom came down on Tuesday and spent the night with Josh and I. He cooked us some dinner and we rented a movie. Wednesday morning my mom and I got up at 7 to do some heavy cleaning. We ended up cleaning from 7am until 1pm! Our house hasn't been this clean since the day we moved in! It was nice to get a "fresh" start with a nice clean house to go along with our brand new furniture.
Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving at Josh's parent's house, then after dinner we headed up to my aunt Judy's house in Barron. My Dad was up there, and it was nice to see everyone, even though we didn't get to stay very long.
Today Jean and I braved "Black Friday" shopping! We got up at 4am and got in line at Kohl's....We ended up around the side of the store, the line was SO long! Unlike some "crazy" shoppers we didn't really have a list or a plan. We were just hoping to stumble upon some good deals. I ended up getting a few gifts for people and I bought my self a few things too.....I know, I know.....I shouldn't be doing that but the deals were SO good I couldn't pass them up.
